Fricis Augusts Ripa works primarily with airbrush, canvas, clothing and print. His practice explores the transformation of personal experiences, environments and cultural layers into visual worlds where realistic surroundings meet surreal figures and dreamlike imagery. His work draws from internet culture, underground aesthetics and the atmosphere of contemporary Latvia, combining the familiar with the strange and the personal with collective memory.
